What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “jewelry.” Stop and think for a moment. Maybe it’s that ring in your jewelry box that your mom gave you or maybe it’s a necklace you received when you finally completed law school. Jewelry is more than just glitz and sparkle; jewelry is a story.

At KATHRYN New York, we want to be a part of your story. But before you allow us to take part in some of your life’s most memorable moments, it’s time for a brief introduction — breaking the ice, if you will, before you ice yourself with the luxuriousness that is KATHRYN New York.

Founder Kathryn Matz started her eponymous jewelry brand for three reasons, of which we’ll outline the first here. But let’s get back to the why. Matz loves accessories, plain and simple. But it’s more than just a surface-level love of admiring the shine and dazzle of it all. Our founder loves accessories for their inherent power to completely transform an outfit, which in turn, changes how you feel about yourself. And when you feel better, “better things happen,” says Matz. And that’s something we could all use a little more of.
